Wednesday Wisdom: “Beautiful minds inspire others”
Today I woke up hungry. I’m breastfeeding, i’m always hungry it seems like. Most mornings I eat some homemade granola with unsweetened almond milk, today was no exception. I could literally live on granola. One because I like it and two because it does not hurt my belly. At this point, I am pretty sure Tyler is sick of hearing me say my belly is on fire. I am getting to where I know what I can and can not eat but I still slip up sometimes, like this weekend with some wedding cake. I knew it was going to hurt but I just had to have a bite, or two, ok so I ate a whole piece but hey, A girl’s gotta live a little.
I have an intolerance to yeast which in turn makes me intolerant to sugar and any artificial sweetners. Doesn’t sound too bad until you take into account everything that metabolizes directly to sugar and feeds yeast in your system. I can generally get away with honey but that is the only sweetener my belly likes. I am very creative in the kitchen and can generally make a meal that works but I am looking for new ideas! We are a family of clean eaters. We like to stay away from processed foods and/or highly refined foods.
I need your input! Recipes, snack ideas, meals! Anything you got I am willing to try. I will make it, take a picture and review it on my blog. I find it helpful when I see others who cook similiar to me.
