Who were you?

“Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be” – k.w.

Up and at it sipping some hot coffee and scrolling through blogs. Thinking about who I am this morning. Can you remember being a little kid and letting everything you thought come out your mouth? Doing whatever you pleased because you wanted to? Thinking the uncool things were cool because you didn’t know what ‘cool’ was?

Those were the days! That is the person who I want back in my life. The little girl who loved horses, hiking, hunting, harry potter (yep, one of my many secrets), & baking with my grandma.

Don’t get me wrong that girl is still here & I still love all of those things but the world changed her. It is hard to stay exactly who you are when so many people are telling you who you should be. It is like trying to stand still inside a tornado. The world is pulling and pushing us in every direction. Yet we need to stay put and stay true to our souls.

Today, make you soul shine and go do something childish. Do something that brought joy to you before the world changed you. Stay true to yourself and let your inner kid come out and play. Make your heart skip a beat & maybe someone elses too!

I am strong. I am capable. I am beautiful. I am powerful.
