It’s been a day or two (or twenty) since I have had to chance to write!
I began school to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and it seems that every spare minute I have is going to reading, watching class, or doing assignments. My nose has been stuffed in books for a month and there is no chance of it coming out anytime soon! Finding anytime for extracurriculars or even for this blog has been tough! The fact that it is already March is crazy, This year is flying by it seems.
I am quickly learning that I need to manage stress better and take some time out to just breathe. Luckily, the weather has been perfect for walks with the kids, playing in the yard, and riding the horses. Anytime I can get them outside is a huge help to me (my toddler is 100x better behaved if she can get some fresh air and run around) and makes for a better nap time!
My clients at the gym have certainly been a huge asset to me. My time with them is a good stress reliever. I can just relax, work with them, and let my mind chill for a bit. Working out is a big stress reliever for me and has been important to my success thus far. Feeling good about my health is huge to me. After just having baby #2, seeing my body come back to shape and feeling good about it a great confidence booster.
This is a process and I am enough. I can only do what I can do. These themes seem to keep repeating in my head!
While this has been a big commitment for my family and myself, I can also say that I am more motivated than ever! My schooling is incredible and I am anxious to keep learning. It seems that everything I knew before was just the tip of the iceberg!
The nutrition industry in general is so flawed by fad diets, dead foods, and ridiculous body goals. I am blown away by the amount of junk information on the market when it comes to diet and health. The kids food industry in particular is really horrible!
It is nice to know that what I am learning is not just another flawed fact but actual information. Information that I can use to help others and their children! It is rewarding to have access to the wealth of information that I do and to be able to learn from some of the best in the industry. Going back to school is certainly a decision I won’t ever regret.
I am strong. I am capable. I am powerful. I am beautiful.
